I'm KAT :) I'm an undergraduate college student going through the motions to achieve a Bachelor's degree in Health Science. Unfortunately, I do not have the passion for what I am going to school for. Both of my parents were self taught artists but chose different career paths because they did not have the resources nor the opportunities available to them to pursue their art. Ever since I was younger I would sketch and color any chance that I got and instantly knew that art was where my heart settled. I remember the first art class I took. It was when I was 8 years old and the class was to reproduce Claude Monet's "Water Lilies" and I was so intrigued by what could be done with color and patterns. When I was about 12 years old, we started learning about ancient Egypt and I became fascinated with the culture, from the history to fashion and jewelry. I started getting more and more attention for the artwork I produced but never pursued art because I was "supposed" to become a doctor. Since I was 8 years old I knew what made me happy and at 21 years old I'm pursuing it...
